Akkor használjuk, ha tanácsot adunk, vagy arról beszéljünk, amit helyesnek vagy helytelennek gondolunk.
- You should azt jelenti : Szerintem hasznos lenne számodra, ha így cselekednél.
- You shouldn’t azt jelenti:Szerintem nem lenne hasznos számodra, ha így cselekednél.

Should szerepelhet állító, tagadó és kérdő mondatban is.
